DLA Piper advises to a relevant real estate investment firm to acquire an American airport parking facility
DLA Piper represented Green Courte Partners, LLC (Green Courte), a Chicago-based private equity real estate investment firm and owner of The Parking Spot, the nation's leading near-airport parking company, in the recent acquisition of an 869-space parking facility serving Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
The property is leased to and operated by Park N' Jet and is contiguous to The Parking Spot's existing facility, which currently has over 2,000 spaces and the capacity to add another 1,500 spaces. The acquisition expands Green Courte's near-airport parking portfolio to 38 facilities serving 22 airports and containing more than 77,000 spaces nationwide.
“It was a pleasure to represent the Green Courte team in the SLC transaction. Green Courte is a longstanding client, and we’ve enjoyed working with them over the years as they’ve built an industry-leading parking portfolio,” said Brian Cohen, the DLA Piper partner who led the firm’s deal team.
In addition to Cohen, the DLA Piper team representing Green Courte included associate Nicholas Beard. Both Cohen and Beard are based in Chicago.
DLA Piper's Real Estate team offers a full range of services in areas including, among others, acquisitions and dispositions, construction law, financing, commercial real estate, land use, planning and development, leasing, environmental law, insurance, and tax.
