Schoenherr promotes arbitration lawyer expert Victoria Pernt to counsel
Austrian law firm Schoenherr has announced the promotion of Victoria Pernt as a counsel as of 1 August 2020. Pernt is an arbitration expert and she joined this law firm in 2015 to work as a lawyer in the dispute resolution department.
Victoria Pernt's experience spans many fields and industries. It includes highlights such as a USD 1.5 billion pharmaceutical dispute and a complex telecommunications dispute in Kosovo. Victoria Pernt's prior experience comprises representing the State of Moldova, and a Cypriot investor against the State of Serbia, respectively, in investment disputes under the ICSID Rules.
"With her international expertise, Victoria Pernt is a real asset to Schoenherr. Her promotion to counsel reflects the important role she plays in positioning Schoenherr's dispute resolution practice in the upper tier of the market and further afield", said Michael Lagler, managing partner at Schoenherr. "This is the second promotion within our dispute resolution practice this year, sending a strong signal to the market".
Before joining Schoenherr, Victoria Prent was an associate in New York and in Vienna. She is a member of the Vienna and the New York Bars. Her track record includes four ICSID arbitrations, all decided in favour of Schoenherr's clients, and a number of commercial arbitrations under the rules of all main arbitral institutions. Pernt holds degrees from the Universities of Vienna (2011) and Chicago (2014) and is fluent in German, English, and French.
