Osborne Clarke advises Octopus Renewables on acquisition of UK rooftop solar assets
As to a press release of international legal practice Osborne Clarke from the 21st of July 2020, the firm has advised Octopus Renewables on its acquisition of a 9.1MW portfolio of operational residential UK rooftop solar assets.
Octopus Renewables is the specialist clean energy investor arm of Octopus Group. The deal builds on their leading position in the UK solar sector, complementing its existing rooftop solar portfolio in the UK and France.
Osborne Clarke is one of the leading law firms advising on renewable energy projects and transactions. The team who advised on this deal was led by Partner David Ferris with support from Associate Director Chris Yeo and Associate Becky Eade in the Corporate team. Furthermore, a cross sector team of specialists including Partner Mathew Oliver, Associate Emily Clarke (tax), Partner Carl Thompson and Senior Associates Duncan Parker and Caroline Bush (all projects) and Associates Charlotte Walker and Holly Dwyer (real estate) also advised on the deal.
