Norton Rose Fulbright completes new EMA Banking & Finance team
Norton Rose Fulbright has expanded its Banking & Finance department with the signing of Madhavi Gosavi as head of the Banking & Finance team for Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA), as well as recently adding four new members to that committee.
Gosavi joined the firm on 1 January 2022.
Gosavi succeeds Chris Brown, who has been the head of this department since 2019. The new hire will work with his other recent committee colleagues: Hong Kong head Psyche Tai, Singapore head Yu-En Ong, Paris head George Paterson and global co-head of information governance, privacy and cybersecurity Ffion Flockhart.
At Norton Rose Fulbright they warmly welcome the new addition:
"At a time of profound change for our firm and our clients, we need strong and dynamic leadership to drive our banking and finance practice forward," commented the firm's Europe, Middle East and Asia managing partner Peter Scott. "Madhavi is an exceptional lawyer and, with her wealth of experience, we will continue to deepen our capabilities and enhance the value we deliver to clients."
Scott has also welcomed other additions to the EMEA department, "whose practice and management experience will be invaluable" in helping the firm grow while helping clients overcome their challenges.
Gosavi herself has announced her enthusiasm to begin her new career:
"I am thrilled and excited to take on the leadership of our banking and finance team in EMEA, which is one of the leading practices in the market."
Finally, it is worth noting the firm's efforts to achieve an equal panel on its EMEA committee.
