Linklaters and its focus on innovation: Greg Baker
Linklaters takes a step forward in its strategy towards innovation and creates a global department specialising in this area. A week ago, the international firm announced the incorporation of Greg Baker as its director. Baker has been with the firm since 2018.
Baker will work hand in hand with Linklaters' lawyers and partners in order to enhance innovation in the daily work of the lawyers themselves and improve the client experience. In turn, Baker will lead an innovation steering group for the firm, comprised of partners and business leaders with the goal of providing strategic direction.
Baker is a seasoned professional with an extensive track record working with banks and law firms. He has worked as Legal Counsel at BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank, and also spent ten years at White & Case.
"I'm really excited to be growing our Practice Innovation team here at Linklaters.," Baker admitted months ago on his LinkedIn account and his post showed the firm's aspirations to expand its innovation team:
"I'm looking for lawyers who can combine strong transactional/advisory experience with an enthusiasm for improving the way we work and deliver our services - whether via technology, improved processes, design thinking, data science or any other method via some good creative thinking!"
With Baker and his team, Linklaters is strongly committed to revitalising its innovation services.
