Hogan Lovells and why it invests in talent and diversity. Three lawyers who illustrate this
---
In large international law firms, hundreds of lawyers enter internships every year. Hogan Lovells is a prime example of retaining young talent in the legal sector
The Pathfinder programme seeks to find new lawyers with great potential and harness their diverse skills to enhance their leadership, networking and strategic planning skills.
The UK firm, which has an international reach, has a number of talented lawyers who were snapped up by the firm at the time. Jasmeet Ahuja, Russell Benjamin Hedman and Megan Wilson have been selected as Pathfinders for 2021.
- Jasmeet Ahuja, a senior litigation associate based in Philadelphia, is an engineer by training who works on cybersecurity, data privacy and technology matters. She also advises companies on complex antitrust litigation. Her pro bono work has focused on gun regulation reform and immigrant rights, including representing the city of Philadelphia as a so-called "sanctuary city". She has been recognised by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association as one of its Best Under 40 nationally for 2020.
- Megan Wilson, a senior procurement and education associate, has experience across the full range of education sector client needs, including regulatory compliance, transactions, and internal and government investigations. She aligns sector-specific requirements with pragmatic considerations and best practices to help institutions and companies advance their strategic objectives and navigate complex issues. Megan also coordinates the Washington D.C. office's Law Day partnership with the Thurgood Marshall Academy, in which ninth grade students practice legal skills with volunteer attorneys. Megan serves on the Associate Board of City Year DC and was named to The National Black Lawyers' Top 40 Under 40 list in 2019 and 2020.
- Russell Benjamin Hedman, a Denver-based M&A partner, leads and negotiates complex M&A and investment transactions around the world, with a particular focus on private equity firms, sports teams and entertainment companies. He is an active contributor to the Denver community and serves on the board of directors of the Denver Public Schools Foundation and the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce.
The Professional Development and Diversity department of Hogan Lovells' Americas office is proud of these three nominations:
"We are delighted that three of our lawyers (Russell Hedman, Jasmeet Ahuja and Megan Wilson) have been named to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity positions," commented Carine Stoick, Professional Development and Diversity partner in the Americas.
