Discover Reed Smith's employee 'Family Support Initiative'
---
Reed Smith continues to promote the Family Support Initiative, a tool launched in August 2020 to inform and support employees with children
Through this initiative, which is almost a year old, Reed Smith lawyers can enjoy the flexibility to reduce their working hours, know what resources the firm has available in terms of tutoring, childcare, among other benefits.
This initiative divides benefits according to the age of employees' children, ranging from 0-1 years old to just over 18 years old.
Through this initiative, Reed Smith will be supported by Kunik, which has a global network of caregivers, and Bright Horizons, a provider of childcare services.
The benefits offered by the Family Support Initiative are global in scope, covering the needs of the firm's employees located in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
According to Reed Smith's Global Head of People, Casey Ryan, he believes this initiative will significantly help lawyers who, because of the pandemic, have to balance "the demands of their work with their commitments and obligations to their families".
Ryan says the firm wants to support its lawyers at every stage of their lives, and that this original initiative will have a positive impact on them.
