THE COMPANY
A leading supplier of pipes and related services to the global energy industry. Its customers include major international oil companies, as well as engineering companies involved in the construction of oil and gas extraction, transportation and processing facilities. The company has 4 R&D centres, over 2,500 customers and more than 23,000 employees.
THE PROBLEM
The client was looking to optimise information protection measures and improve the analysis and safeguarding of information. To do so, they needed a team of consultants capable of solving operational issues in application security, DLP solutions and vulnerability analysis. Another requirement was to generate documentation for the Governance, Risk and Compliance areas.
THE SOLUTION
Baufest formed a team to work with the client's application security, risk and Ethical Hacking solutions areas. First, a vulnerability and risk analysis procedure was carried out and then the DLP policy was updated and expanded for the Americas, Europe and the Middle East. In addition, an Ethical Phishing policy to work on user awareness and a CASB solution to strengthen Shadow IT were implemented.
