Accept failures in order to succeed in the future
---
Failure is an event that all companies must overcome to achieve success by facing some particular situations
"There is no such thing as failure, except when we cease to make an effort", said Jean Paul Marat, the 18th century French scientist and physician.
Failure is well known to all law firms. There is no company that, before achieving anything, has failed. And we are all still afraid of failure.
Failure has always been one of the best incentives to learn from ourselves and also to overcome future challenges, both individually and as a team. We will always be able to find an opportunity behind failure.
Here are some keys to take into account in order to overcome the fear of failure:
Make a real map of the situation
Every situation and every event has its own particular characteristics. Don't hesitate to appreciate them from an objective and detached point of view. It is often difficult to see it in perspective, but you have to make an effort.
Understanding everything that is going on is key to determining how to solve the problems. You don't have to rely solely on your intuition (which often fails), but you can use practical protocols, advice and the support of your team.
Anticipate
If, out of all the tasks or circumstances related to your firm, you think that one or more of them are going to cause you problems in the future, try to solve them immediately. Or be sufficiently prepared so that the consequences will be as little negative as possible.
Anticipation in everything that happens to us is key, because it allows us to see everything in perspective, in the long term, and incidentally guarantees the viability of the project. Mistakes arise when too many tasks are carried out in too little time.
Get involved
Fear of failure often arises because you are not really aware of the events that can lead to failure. Total involvement in everything you do, and don't do, allows you to understand the consequences, so that if you fail, you at least know all the details that led to failure.
Involvement also entails strategies. Through strategies, your actions will be coordinated and it will be more difficult to encounter failure. Strategies also help you to cope with failure.
Accept failure
In line with the previous paragraph, accepting failure is a task in itself. When you fail, look at all aspects. Put some hope in the process of accepting failure, as it will make you more productive and effective from the very first minute.
Failure is learning. And learning is avoiding past mistakes. Analyse your mistakes, re-evaluate your strategies. Nobody is perfect.
Think of it this way: your failures can be the prelude to your successes!
