Juan de Dios Crespo Pérez
He has a degree in law, a Master in International Sports Law, LL.M., and has taken many courses and diplomas specializing in sports, EU and international law.
A practising lawyer since 1985, he is the managing partner of the firm specialising in Sports Law, RUIZ-HUERTA & CRESPO, and is the president of the Sports Law Section of the Valencia Bar Association. He has extensive experience as a lawyer and advisor to football clubs and professional sportsmen, agents, Spanish and foreign professional federations and leagues, especially before international sports bodies such as UEFA, FIFA or TAS, and is currently one of the most important specialists in football law at international level.
He was chosen by UEFA and the EU to form part of the IndependentReviewGroup.
He is a professor of numerous national and international Courses and Masters in Sports Law, among them the FIFA Master of the Center for the International Study of Sport CIES - Neuchâtel (Switzerland), and a guest professor in different Spanish, British and Latin American Universities and organizations.
He is a regular speaker and lecturer at congresses, courses and seminars on sports law, and is the author of numerous articles and papers in specialist journals, as well as legal and sports publications (including "Comments on the FIFA Regulations - Analysis of Jurisprudence DRC and TAS").
He has been advisor and director of the Sports Law section of the General Law Review; advisor for Spain and article writer for the "Cuadernos de Derecho Deportivo" in Argentina and director of the TAS-CAS section (International Sports Arbitration) of the Aranzadi Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law. He is a member of the Advisory Board of IUSPORT.
