Anja Ipp

Co-Founder at Climate Change Counsel

Anja is a US-trained lawyer with experience in international dispute resolution, development aid and communications. Between 2010 and 2020, she was an associate in the global disputes practice at Jones Day in New York and served as legal counsel at the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Before becoming a lawyer, Anja spent six years as a writer and editor at policy-oriented think tanks in Kabul and Washington, D.C. Her diverse experience ranges from managing investor-state disputes in the energy sector to drafting policy papers on natural resource management in Afghanistan.

Anja holds a JD from Columbia University in New York, where she was a member of the Environmental Law Clinic. She also earned an LLM in International Criminal Law from the University of Amsterdam and served as a summer clerk at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. Anja serves on the board of the non-profit Swedish Association for Responsible Consumption and is a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher.
