Angus Lyon

Counsellor and coach

Angus Lyon practiced as a litigation solicitor for almost 40 years, most of the time as a partner at Mears Hobbs & Durrant (England), specialising as a claimant personal injury lawyer. He was regularly recommended in this area of work in the Legal 500. He was a professional deputy and has served as a LawCare volunteer since 2008. He is a non-practising solicitor.

Partly as a result of his work in psychiatric injuries, he developed an interest in psychotherapy and obtained a secondary qualification as a psychodynamic counsellor.

He is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and  was a director and co-founder of Catalyst Counselling CIC, a social enterprise providing counselling and training.

He is author of A Lawyer’s Guide to Wellbeing and Managing Stress (Ark Group 2015) and now works as a therapist and coach at restart-one.com
